Employee Volunteering Programme

As an engaged investor, we have always sought to provide more than just finance. We want to constantly improve our engagement with our investees and learn more about their needs to support their continued success.

Our Employee Volunteering Programme will kickstart a range of new services which will enhance the support we provide investees.

About the Programme

The programme aims to give our investees the opportunity to ideally undertake a bespoke project that provides tangible additional benefit to them with the help of our volunteers. We hope this will help us both to know each other better. Our view is that the more we can learn about the challenges and day-to-day issues our investee faces, the better we can help them.

This programme is exclusively for investees of The Social Investment Business.

Want to join?

We appreciate the constraints civil society organisations are currently facing and we would not wish organisations to divert scarce resources in order to participate in this scheme. Any opportunities you might have in mind should not require any special training, undue supervision or CRB checks.  Our volunteers will be pleased to work alongside existing staff / volunteers, undertaking everyday activities and maybe something new or innovative together. Perhaps consider a team challenge with our volunteers to possibly clear a community green space or redecorate a room?

What next?

We will be in touch with interested organisations in April to discuss options for the Spring session of our volunteering programme. Meanwhile, if you're keen to find out more about how the programme will work, please contact us

Please note that we will do our best to match the skills and times of availability of our volunteers with your organisational needs, although a perfect fit might not always be possible.
