Assessment

We will verify that you have sent us a fully completed application form and have provided all supporting documents. We then assess your application as follows -

1.     Confirm your organisation’s eligibility for the Fund, make sure that the proposal’s aims, budget and timeline satisfy the Fund criteria.

2.     Score your application to determine how strongly your proposal meets the criteria. Your application will be scored in the following categories -

  • Strength of Proposal & Fit with Theme (questions 1 to 5)
  • Funding Profile (questions 6-9)
  • Impact (questions 10-15)
  • Strength of Organisation (questions 16-19)

3.     Scores will be considered by a Cabinet Office Advisory Panel set up by the Office for Civil Society, who will decide which grants to award.

Outcome

We will let all applicants know if their application has been successful in late February/early March 2012. To accept the grant offer, your organisation must return the grant offer letter and provide a corresponding Board resolution evidencing acceptance by 8 March. Any offers not accepted and received by us by this date will be withdrawn.

Payment and spend

Once you have fulfilled your pre-conditions you can start to draw down the money.

The first payment must be made prior to 15 March 2012. Subsequent payments will be made in line with the payment schedule, subject to evidence of satisfactory progress / spend to date demonstrated by monitoring returns. We are looking for projects to draw all funds by March 2013. You must provide evidence of it being spent by September 2013.

Monitoring

You will need to send us monitoring information as agreed in the grant contract, once you start work on your project.
