The Social Investment Business secures place as approved provider on OCS Framework Agreement

Friday 22 October 2010

The Social Investment Business has been chosen as one of six organisations approved by the Office for Civil Society to bid for tenders for grant management contracts issued by seven central government departments.

Over the next four years if any of these departments issue a contract for delivering grants to civil society organisations in England they can use the framework agreement by running a mini competition amongst the panel of approved organisations.

The Social Investment Business Chief Executive Jonathan Lewis said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have been accepted by the OCS on to their list of approved providers. It’s a real endorsement of our approach and a recognition of our strong track record of supporting sector organisations all over the country.

“We will continue to work hard to support as many social enterprises, charities and voluntary organisations as we can to become stronger and more financially sustainable so they can do more of what they do best – helping the most vulnerable in our society.”

The seven government departments who are party to the Framework Agreement for Grant Fund Administration Services are:

·         Cabinet Office

·         Department for Education

·         Department for Culture, Media and Sport

·         The Home Office

·         Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs

·         Communities and Local Government

·         Department of Health
